Better Balance-CMT is an NIHR-funded research project developing and evaluating a physiotherapist-supported, home-based balance and strengthening programme for people with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT).

Aishah is an orthoptist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. She is trying to develop guidance to help hospital staff to assess vision in inpatients at risk of falls. An assessment of vision will not only help to prevent falls, but also aid rehabilitation and promote independence, wellbeing and safer movement inside and outside hospital.
