AGILE projects

To supplement the work of the National Executive Committee (NEC) we also have a number of project officers, who represent AGILE on a number of working groups and/or carry out specific projects.  More information about our current project officers and ongoing project work can be found below. 

AGILE Falls and Bone health Officer

Specific purpose of the Falls and Bone Health Officer include (but not limited to):

  1. To represent AGILE and facilitate collaborative working with UK (and global as and when appropriate) agencies and advisory groups with a falls prevention and bone health remit where physiotherapeutic knowledge and experience can add value and inform continuous care quality and improvement, including working with: National Falls Prevention Coordination Group (hosted by Public Health England at time of writing in June 2021 but host organisation likely to change), Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme including National Audit Inpatient Falls and Fracture Liaison Service Database.
  2. Support knowledge mobilisation and learning among AGILE members related to evidence based and best practice in falls prevention and management and bone health among those at risk, specifically older adults 
  3. Advocate and champion the contribution of physiotherapy practice in falls prevention and management including bone health from health promotion through to prevention, rehabilitation, maintenance and symptom management
  4. Fulfill other duties as directed by the Chair of AGILE related to falls prevention and management and bone health.
