Invitation to register for the 2017 UK Parkinson’s Audit

Parkinson’s UK would like to invite physiotherapists working with people with Parkinson’s to participate in the 2017 UK Parkinson’s audit, the recognised quality improvement tool for this condition.  Registration opens on 20th February.

This audit is listed in HQIP’s Quality Accounts, and is open to physiotherapy services which see at least ten people with Parkinson’s for assessment, review or intervention during the five-month data collection period.  The audit includes a Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM), and the audit questions and data collection tool have been refined to reflect feedback from the 2015 audit.

The audit forms an integral part of the Parkinson’s Excellent Network, the one-stop-shop for Parkinson’s education, collaboration, evidence and resources to drive forward service improvement.

Fiona Lindop, the audit’s Physiotherapy lead: “The audit is an excellent opportunity for a review of  physiotherapy services, giving opportunity to develop and improve areas highlighted, thus ensuring that physiotherapists are offering evidence-based practice and providing people with Parkinson’s the best standard of care across the country. I would urge all services eligible for this audit to take this opportunity and register as soon as possible.”

For further details and an on line registration form go to www.parkinsons.org.uk/audit, or contact audit@parkinsons.org.uk. The deadline for registration is 31 March 2017, with data collection running from 1 May to 30 September.
