Calling all AHPs working in Acute Frailty / SDEC Services as a trainee or qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

AGILE are working with the NHS England/Improvement Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) programme team  - the team provides support at Integrated Care System level across England to support the reset / transformation / upgrading of existing Acute Frailty Services with a focus on same day emergency care. The NHSE/I SDEC programme team wish to highlight the workforce required to deliver SDEC and, specifically, the contribution of AHPs in advanced practice roles in the delivery of Acute Frailty/SDEC services.

AGILE are interested in hearing from any AHPs (not just physiotherapists) currently working in trainee or qualified ACP roles in Acute Frailty or SDEC services within the NHS. We are keen to hear from AHPs in these roles not only in England but also in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales (appreciating these services may not be referred to as SDEC services as they are in England). This is so we might also learn how other health and care systems are mobilising AHPs as ACPs in the delivery of high quality holistic care for older people living with frailty who attend hospital.

If you are a trainee or qualified ACP working in an Acute Frailty / SDEC / similar service, please do get in touch with AGILE Education Officer at agile.educationofficer@gmail.com - the aim is to develop narratives for dissemination which describe how ACP AHPs are deployed in these services and the value AHPs bring to such services.

Many thanks
